Larry
started his career in 1984 at Warner Brothers as the New York gross
clerk, the same year he joined the Motion Picture Club. He
eventually was promoted to Albany/Buffalo film booker, one of the many
branches that he handled, the others being Cleveland and New York.
Larry left Warner Brothers in the spring of 1987 to go to Universal as
the Washington D. C. booker. He left Universal in May of 1988 for
his first go around at Twentieth Century Fox, once again as the
Washington D. C. Booker. Larry then jumped the fence to go into
film exhibition, when he left Twentieth Century Fox for General Cinemas,
to become a regional film buyer in January of 1989. Larry handled
at various times the booking of theatres for the Washington D. C.,
Cleveland, Cincinnati, and Philadelphia areas, eventually becoming the
New York film buyer. Larry's second go around at Twentieth Century
Fox began in February of 1993, when he came back to become the
Washington D. C. branch manager. He went on to become the New York
branch manager in August of 1995, his current position. While
Larry was continuing his film career, he continued to stay involved in
the Motion Picture Club, attending and even working all kinds of events
as a member. He joined the Board of Directors in 1994, before
becoming a vice president of the club. In 1998, Larry became the
club's 33rd president. He loves getting involved in all different
charities, whether it's helping children or walking for Multiple
Sclerosis. He currently lives in New Jersey and some of his
hobbies include traveling and playing basketball on the weekends.
