The 62nd Annual Motion Picture Club Installation Luncheon was held on January 31, 2002 at the NY Marriot Marquis Hotel. We were honored to welcome the distinguished guests pictured below.

Casey Affleck, "Male Star of Tomorrow' pictured here with John Z. Shahinian, amused the luncheon attendees by introducing himself ,"I've known Casey since we worked on To Die for together," said Affleck. Some of the audience didn't seem sure of what was happening. "Those three Oscar nominations, they meant nothing to me, but to Casey …" 

Sir Ian Mckellen enjoyed catching up with close friend John Cameron Mitchell who was honored for his performance in "Hedwig and the Angry Inch"

Andrew T. Sheppard was not the only member excited by the surprise appearance of Joaquin Phoenix at the 62nd Motion Picture Club Luncheon. Joaquin arrived with "The Star of Tomorrow" honoree Casey Affleck along with his sister Summer Phoenix.
